Mary Bradbury, PhD, F Inst Psychoanal

Mary Bradbury is a psychoanalyst in private practice with more than twenty years of post-qualification clinical experience. She is a Fellow of the British Psychoanalytical Society and a Training Analyst for the Association of Child Psychotherapists. She is a Member of the International Psychoanalytic Association and the British Psychological Society, and a Registrant of the British Psychoanalytic Council.

In addition to her work with patients, Mary supervises clinicians in training and qualified practitioners in private practice. She is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College London. Formerly, she was a Visiting Lecturer and an Adult Psychotherapist at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust. She leads seminars in psychoanalytic theory and Infant Observation for candidates at the Institute of Psychoanalysis and has taught at the British Psychoanalytic Association. For eleven years she was a Clinic Consultant at the London Clinic of Psychoanalysis. 

In 2009 Mary founded Analytical Consulting, a mental health consultancy service that provided advice, support and education about workplace stress and mental health to organisations in the legal and finance sector. Based on this experience, she wrote and presented The City on the Couch, a documentary feature for BBC Radio 4, broadcast in 2015.

She holds a PhD in Social Psychology from the London School of Economics and an MA in Social Anthropology from the University of Cambridge.

Mary has written articles, chapters and a book on the topics of death, mental illness, stress and wellbeing.
